He had the idea for a remake of The Bard's Tale in the back of his head for a long time, and it was the perfect choice for the first game at his new company. Not only did this give him some research material, but it also rekindled his desire to work on a project he had been thinking about for a while. However, during the time after leaving Interplay and starting his new company - InXile (pronounced "In Exile") Entertainment - Brian says that he played as many games as he could get his hands on, especially those in his favorite genre: RPGs. Still a hardcore gamer at heart, Brian admits that, while overseeing Interplay, he didn't have as much time to play games as he would like. Brian Fargo has a long history in the industry, and after working on other RPG classics such as Neuromancer, Fallout and Wasteland, his name is synonymous with computer RPGs.
